What Happened?
In February 2021, a US House of Representatives subcommittee report revealed that major baby food manufacturers had internal testing showing dangerously elevated levels of arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury in their products. Gerber, Beech-Nut, Earth's Best, HappyBaby, Plum Organics, and Sprout were named. Lead is neurotoxic with no safe level. These metals accumulate in the developing brain and are linked to cognitive impairment, reduced IQ, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
Who Qualifies?
Your child was fed commercial baby food from named manufacturers during the first two years of life, particularly between 2015 and 2021. Your child has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or ADHD.
Primary Diagnoses:
Litigation Status
Cases are being filed individually and in some state coordinated proceedings. No federal MDL as of 2025. This is a developing tort — early stage.
Estimated Compensation
Values are still being established. Strong cases with documented baby food use, ASD diagnosis with developmental regression, and ideally blood metal testing will have the highest values.
